Yoga Nidra or Psychic Sleep is a practice to attain deep relaxation with inner awareness and is a practice for all age groups. Yoga Nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation through systematic meditation.
While you rest comfortably on your back, on the floor in savasana (corpse pose) or while seated, the meditation takes you through a set sequence so you can attain a state between sleep and wakefulness. Do not worry about falling off to sleep, your body and subconscious will still benefit from the practice as your mind is alert, aware and curious. Consequently one can develop memory, knowledge and creativity.
Sankalpa or resolution is an integral feature of Yoga Nidra as it influences and supports change from within.
